Color Belt Promotion Test Announcement

A color belt promotion test is a major milestone in a student’s martial arts journey. It is an opportunity to demonstrate technical growth, mental discipline, and dedication on the mat—taking the next step toward the ultimate goal of Black Belt.

What to Expect During the Test

Students testing for their next rank will demonstrate their proficiency across key areas of the curriculum, including:

Poomsae (Forms): Clean execution, precision, balance, and power in required belt patterns.
Technique & Combinations: Mastery of stance work, hand strikes, and kicking combinations.
Self-Defense & Sparring: Application of distance control, timing, and defensive techniques.
Board Breaking & Focus: Power, focus, and spirit for applicable belt levels.

Key Requirements & Deadlines

To ensure testing runs smoothly and candidates are properly processed, please adhere to the following guidelines:

⚠️ Important Registration Deadline:
All promotion testing forms and fees must be completed and turned in at least 3 days prior to the exam date.
Late submissions will not be accepted, as test brackets and certificates are finalized in advance.

Class Attendance: Ensure you have met the minimum class attendance required for your current belt rank prior to testing.
Full Uniform Required: Students must wear their full traditional dobok (uniform) with all appropriate patches attached.
Sparring Equipment: Students at ranks requiring sparring must bring their full gear set.

How to Prepare

Practice Daily: Review your required forms and footwork consistently leading up to exam week.
Arrive Early: Plan to arrive 15–20 minutes before your scheduled test time to stretch and warm up.
Bring High Energy: Spirit, focus, and effort (Kihap!) count just as much as technical execution.
